Steve SPurgeon

Lead Vocalist for the Confidentials and Solo Artist

Steve Spurgeon has a lifelong passion for music that has traveled with him throughout all of his adventures and is for a bigger purpose than himself. With family originally from South Carolina, and a military father, Steve was born in the Philippines and spent his first years in Texas and along the Panama Canal. Since 1977, he has called Omaha his home and for the past 30 years, has fronted the band “The Confidentials” along with his brother Stan.

As lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player, Steve and The Confidentials have played all across the country including opening for Grand Funk Railroad opening night of the Quest Center for over 12,000 people in Omaha, playing at The Gig in West Hollywood LA, 14 Below in Santa Monica, and The Lighthouse Café on Hermosa Beach. Steve also played a solo acoustic set at the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood in 2012.

While music is his lifelong passion, Steve has a bigger goal in mind with his musical accomplishments. With his new single out “Wake Up in the USA”, Steve believes that Americans have the power to unite together to transform our nation into a better place for all.
